BSPN delivered a comprehensive redevelopment of Frenchville Sports Club, transforming the venue into a contemporary, experience-driven destination designed to attract a broader demographic and improve operational efficiency.

The project began with a detailed master plan that redefined the club’s spatial and functional layout. Rather than a renovation, the approach focused on a holistic reimagining of how the venue operates, ensuring each space works cohesively to enhance the overall patron experience.

The design introduces a series of new and upgraded spaces, including a dedicated entertainment zone, cocktail lounge, improved staff facilities and a new entry experience with a porte-cochère and drop-off area. From arrival, the layout has been carefully considered to create clear sightlines and intuitive movement, allowing patrons to easily navigate and engage with the venue.

A key design driver was to create a resort-like atmosphere that feels welcoming, inclusive and accessible. The interiors avoid being overly stylised, instead focusing on comfort and usability to appeal to both existing members and new visitors. Open transitions between spaces reinforce connectivity, allowing the venue to feel cohesive while still offering distinct experiences.

Operational efficiency was central to the design, with the strategic placement of key areas such as the gaming room, sports bar and lounge improving both patron flow and staff service. Bar and kitchen layouts were refined to support efficient operation, while furniture arrangements further enhance circulation and usability.

The project also incorporates a solar car park as part of the club’s broader sustainability strategy, supporting energy efficiency and reducing long-term operational costs.
