BSPN delivered the transformation of a heritage-listed Methodist church into its current Brisbane studio, creating a workplace that reflects a more collaborative approach to design.
The project centred on rethinking how the studio operates, taking advantage of the open floor plate to support greater collaboration and passive mentoring. The new layout encourages interaction between team members, improving workflow and contributing to stronger project outcomes.
Joinery and furniture were procured through local contractors and suppliers. Many elements were modular, allowing flexibility for future re-use and/or relocation.
The design maintains the inherent beauty and ambiance of the former church while introducing a refined and highly functional workplace environment. Natural light, spatial openness, and material warmth contribute to a studio that supports both focused work and collaborative engagement.
